The Babyroom Evacuation Trolley and Cot are an important new concept in assisting the professional evacuation of babies in an emergency. Best practice emergency procedures require that rapid evacuation be carried out in a once only operation, with no re-entry into the building. The required supervision ratio in the baby room of 1 to 3 makes this procedure difficult to co-ordinate effectively. The Babyroom Evacuation Trolley and Cot allows up to six babies to be evacuated and held safely under the control of two nursery nurses, whilst any emergency is dealt with. The Babyroom Evacuation Trolley has been developed in conjunction with Nottinghamshire Fire Service and researched with local authority inspectors and nursery practioners. Both versions have heavy duty steel frames with industrial castors and use high tenacity fire retardant PVC and mesh fabric.
